When people make a shift in their careers or in their business, typically, they aren't scared of the big goal they set out for themselves. They aren't scared of success. People are scared of starting off and being seen as small. <—- Brendon Burchard shared something similar to this last week during a training event and it really got me thinking about where many of my clients and students get stuck.
So in this raw, unplugged episode, I’m sharing tangible actions to take to stop the self sabotaging head game that happens when you start leveling up (especially when getting more visible).
This is a must listen for any Entrepreneur who’s working on a big level up in the next 12 months.

This is a reality. It's no wonder we think like this because in the Facebook groups and the programs we're in, we see the outlandish success stories (the person who had a teeny tiny list but launch six-figures or the person who did this one thing and they tripled their fees). We see the 1% results but we don't see the average results.
The internal battle of playing it small and staying small
We know logically speaking that only a percentage of people have that success out of the gate so we sabotage ourselves by going we're not ready yet and need more learning to perfect this. And we sit in that piece because we are scared that we're going to flop on our face and we don't want people to know about this.
Screw the starting small fear
It's okay to be small and to start small. That's where we all start. Remind yourself that if you have this little fear of being seen as small because it's hard and you're not getting the results that you see other people getting, know that you're not alone and you're actually right on schedule. You are just in time for the breakthrough that's coming next.
If you're showing up in service and you're clear around the impact you want to make so you can help people, keep at it. Keep taking steps to make a little bigger splash every single day without fear of what other people are going to think about you (if your following is not large or what other people are going to say if you don't have that big giant launch). Screw that. Those other people aren't your people so focus on the people that you are actually serving and show up for them.
Tangible tips you can do to put things in action for you:
1. Visualize your 10-year plan.
Visualizing what life looks like, but also what it feels like. Sit with it because that's what's going to drive you actually taking action on these things.
2. Break your goals down into milestones.
If you haven't taken your goal and broken it down into clear milestones for yourself this next year, do this. Make sure you have smaller milestones.
Extra tips to note:
We highly underestimate the messy stuff that happens in the first third of our goal so break it down smaller. Break down the first third of your goal into milestones to set yourself up for success. We need that momentum to keep pushing.
Stop holding yourself to the standard that you know that achieving the goal is a celebration.
3. Block out a time on your calendar for your goal.
Know the things you need to get done and have them on your calendar. If you are serious in achieving your goals, you need to block out time on your calendar. If it's not on your calendar, it's not going to happen.
Questions you can ask yourself to help you stay focus and keep putting in the work
Get present with your mission of the day every single day.
Do you have this goal in your head where you will be successful when you make a million dollars? Or is success for you knowing that you've made an impact for someone else every single day?
