As entrepreneurs we often get pulled into the pressures, stresses, and let’s be real - sexiness - of things we work on each day. But there comes a point when begin to alienate the thing that most likely inspired us to become business owners in the first place: our family.
Today’s guest, Nick Murphy knows the struggle entrepreneurs face finding balance in their lives. As an NFL veteran turned serial entrepreneur, he knows a thing or two about discipline, ambition, and peak performance. With 5 kids of his own, he set out to teach parentpreneurs (yep, that’s parents + entrepreneurs) how to accelerate the growth of their businesses so they can hustle less and earn more – all while being present to what matters most at home.
Nick’s perspective on business growth related to this so-called balance (btw he hates that word) between family and work is quite refreshing and doesn’t ask you to choose between your two babies or push...

If you want to crush your business goals, you've got to embrace speaking opportunities. Does that mean you need to jump on stage in front of 1,000 people right away? Heck no.
When most entrepreneurs think of speaking, they think of either professional speakers charging a fee for their talk or speaking for free to get experience… to eventually command a fee. But this concept of trading money for time wasn’t why you built your business. And speaking for free without a strategy isn’t going to lead you towards the results you want. The good news is that these aren’t the only ways to speak to get results in your business.
In this episode, I’m sharing three specific speaking strategies you can use in your business to achieve your revenue goals. We’ll talk about the similarities and differences between speaking for a fee, speaking to sell your programs, and speaking to grow your audience.
We’ll also talk about...
You don’t need another COVID-19 update, so how about we skip to something I hope will be more contagious:
Monday night on my local community Facebook page, I witnessed 93 neighbors verbally attack a member of our town when she encouraged people to join an event happening at the local pub.
Sure, it wasn't a brilliant idea. Our governor is encouraging (not yet mandating) self quarantine. Eating dinner at a restaurant defeats that purpose.
But did it help the situation to call her a "f**king idiot" a "waste of a human" or question if she was "trying to murder us all"?
Of the 93 comments, at least 85 were just as harsh.
That woman is someone’s wife, mother and daughter.
You might be appalled.
You might be rolling your eyes agreeing that the woman is an idiot.
You might be reminded of other posts you’ve seen that got heated quickly (*ahem* pretty much all political convos or the...

As an online entrepreneur, you want to position yourself as an authority and speaking on stages is one of the fastest ways to establish yourself. But which comes first? Many business owners sit on the sidelines waiting for the right moment in their business to step into the spotlight… and that’s a mistake. Finding the courage to get on stage, can be scary. And that’s why today I’m sharing with you 7 ways to incorporate speaking into your business besides a keynote (aka big stage) presentation. Listen in to learn how you can establish your authority and make a big impact while growing your audience.

If you want to elevate your personal brand, get super clear on your personal style and bring it every day to your business. Whether it's for a keynote talk, a Facebook live, or a zoom chat with a prospect, when you feel confident in what you’re wearing you naturally show with more authority.
In today’s episode, I’m welcoming my first guest, Melanie Kluger, to talk to us about the link between style and confidence (which of course is essential to becoming a magnetic brand).
Melanie is a personal stylist, best selling author, closet connoisseur and creator of THE CONFIDENT CLOSET. She believes that you can use your clothes as a tool to be seen the way that you want to be seen. But it’s more than how others perceive you, it's about you showing up for yourself. If you truly know your style and you feel confident in what you're wearing, you show up in the world in a very different way. And especially if you’re an entrepreneur with...
